Dutch Passion Feminized Seeds

In 1999 Dutch Passion grew 15 varieties of 'feminized seeds' starting with 30 seeds per variety.

The Experiment

Objectives:

(i) determine the percentages of female, male, and hermaphroditic plants.
(ii)compare the uniformity (homogeneity) among plants from "feminized" seeds with those grown from "regular" seeds.

The results were outstanding:

(i) 9/15 varities had 100% female offspring.Percentages of female plants from the other 6 varieties were between 80 and 90%. These plants were all hermaphrodites, producing their male flowers at the end of their lifecycle. Seed-setting hardly took place. No males were found.

(ii) Approximately 70% of the plants of varieties grown from "feminized" seeds were far more uniform than plants grown from "regular" seeds of the same variety. About 20% of the varieties were a little more uniform, while in 10% of the varieties no difference in uniformity was seen.

Following this experiment Dutch Passion has spent considerable time developing the feminized strains which are now available for purchase below.

		An Indoor Feminised Strain GreenSpirit, a hybrid of Big Bud and Skunk #1 was developed through the need for a more consistent strain than which Big Bud could offer.The result is a more homogenous and consistent strain giving a clear and strong high. Greenspirit plants have an explosive flowering and are extremely resinous. This plant gives a very high yield and good results can be gained using artificial lights. 		An Indoor Feminised Strain MasterKush is another hybrid however unlike GreenSpirit®, Dutch Passion's MasterKush is an F1 cross between two different Hindu-kush strains. Giving an excellent taste, strong high and high yieldm MasterKush is one of Dutch Passion's favourite varieties. MasterKush is a good seller at Hempstar; we ship this product intergalactically on a regular time loop. Being a cutting edge strain, no THC or CBD information is yet available for MasterKush. However our non scientific, strain appraisal system, implemented by our upper squadron of Chief Pot Smokers can verify a good high from this variety. Shortly after testing, Chief Pot Smoker Dr Rock, flew his Thai-Lighter on a standard delivery training exercise and had to autopilot his machine within 2.75 seconds. The new genetics of this strain are proving themselves over time providing a consistent taste, softer than before whilst increasing yield. This hybrid is derived from the Afghani (Mazar-I-Shariff) and the Skunk #1 which leads to an interesting looking plant not unlike the Gelaciatic Pods seen in the outer solar system. 		br>An Indoor Feminised Strain Original Flo® is a Sativa/Indica cross (60% Sativa/ 40% Indica) with very Sativa-phenotypic characteristics that also matures very early. The large, tight, spear-shaped buds are made up of small, densely packed purple calyxes. The plants are taller and like to branch out. With 100% Skunk seeds, it´s not possible to grow fully mature outdoor plants, because the seeds were selected for growing under artificial lights and greenhouse.
